This course discusses the legal obligation for
insurance companies to defend a policyholder in the event a claim is made,
or a lawsuit is filed. In most cases, Insurance companies will defend a
lawsuit that is of a civil action. There are exceptions to the rules. The
course discusses those exceptions. Example, would an insurance company
defend a convicted hit/ run driver if a civil lawsuit was also filed for a
wrongful death due to the hit/run driver’s action? Call ICC for course
