YES!!! We Know Health Care Reform has been in the workings for over the past 20 years.   Our Government has tried to  resolve the problem with no avail.

 Insurance companies blame the Government, the Government blames the Insurance Industry and the state tries to regulate.  Doctor's and Hospitals  blame the  Insurance Companies  for paying low cost reimbursement and denying medical care to  patients.  The patient' and manufacturers blame the insurance companies for charging  high insurance premiums and eliminating or reducing medical services.      

Government Intervention

The Government is trying to implement a Health Care Reform bill to help the uninsured who got our  president elected  to resolve the problem. To initiate this,  the government  is trying  to pass a bill  to  implement a Government Insurance Company to create , for all practical  reasons, competition with the insurance industry.

Consequences  Insurance industry : If,  the government is successful in their program  the middle class will go to the government programs as well as the poor. This will create lost revenue for the insurance industry and collapse our system.

Consequences    Hospitals:  regardless if an injured person comes to the emergency room, a hospital has to treat that patient unconditionally . The hospital tries to get Medicare/ Medicaid in theses situations , sometimes the patient does not qualify. Therefore,  the hospital loses revenue.  This same scenario applies to doctors and surgeons.

Government Control :  Once the government gets control or  monopolizes the Health Care System, the government will control how much the doctors and hospitals will be reimbursed.  The [first] thing that goes would be the modernization of our buildings,  since the hospital's revenue will be cut by government control.  The [second] would be research and technology for our children and prescription drugs and FINALLY all doctors will probably get the same pay.  

Consequences : Individuals under a government control plan  the government will control the services the plan will provide. Individuals cannot sue the government as they will allege sovereign immunity.  To off-set the government's immunity, they will set up an administrative appeals process which could take an individual years to resolve. By that time, the patient may die or just give up fighting.  Don't expect attorneys to jump so quickly to help as they rather get paid than take the time to fight the government on your behalf.
